AoS maps seem to be the most popular nowadays, and they are the most fun (to me, anyway), so I was thinking about making a new one, just to test my skills. I know it isn't original, but I don't really care. So far I'm planning on 12 heros, maybe 16 if I want to drive myself crazy, each with four custom spells (I can't stand playing Tides of Blood and getting a hero with no custom abilities...). Beyond that, I have the terrain mostly done, and the two bases, aside from structures. The problem is, I REALLY don't want to make this just a clone of AoS/ToB/DotA, ect...I need some new ideas. I have a few thought out already, but I don't know if it'll be enough. This map would be released too soon after ToB, and I don't want it to seem like I'm just trying to copy that...so, anyone have any thoughts? |

Changing the 'Missle art' graphics of spells is always a good idea. Use 5 skills instead of the usual 4. Change the buff art for blizz, sf (if you know how to edit slk, if not just wait next patch, blizz said they might implement this), custom mini pic, loading screen, and splash screen. If you like, wait 1 week more and my map will be out..(hopefully) 24 heroes with 120+ custom skills. (most of them have 5 skills) |

120+ custom skills? Are you mad! In the last map I released, there were only 40 custom skills and those by far took the longest time to fix/balance. But 120... |

+120 CUSTOM SKILLS?!emote_sweat I think I've finally found a creativity god to worship. I'm having a hard time figuring that one normal mind (or twenty normal minds, for that matter) could think up so many skills. Oh, but... are the spells fairly original? I mean, it isn't just spells like Holy Light and Thunderclap with altered damage/duration/whatever? |

no they are not just like thunderclap or holylight, infact holylight was used just once. I tried to use ALL of the spell that blizz have and edit them, most of them I try to edit 'missile art' and 'target art' as well. When/IF blizz implenment Buff art I will do that too (or once I figure out how to do it via slk editing). The only overused skill is stormbolt, inwhich I needed it for a directly dmg spell, But like i said earlier, I changed missle art to make it different. =) I will admit I do not have any spell that I've created on my own. (dank26's dragon test map have some really bad @$$ spells, they are what I call orginal) O ya, Im also planning 10-14 "2nd hero" aka summoners from Final Fantasy. This wont be implemented till later on though. Hopefully I wont run out of ideas and be forced to use the spells that I've made already. *edit* Just you know, I've planned the skills beforehand. I had them written down and constantly changing them, while I waited for TFT. (Trying to make each hero NOT suck or overpowered):D |

KrazyVietBoi, I would like that very much. I had that planned but since I dunno how to do it, I used another skill instead. That skill would be a perfect ulimate for my Rikku (shes a thief afterall). I want to steal "random" item from hero and a very long cooldown. (8-10)minz Chat wit me aim truazn78 or email at [email protected] I'll go on aim now. I would creadit you of course. |

Palasade Champion Palasade Wall - Creates sheild that ups defense and gives chance to stun attacker. Sheild of Barbs - Throws out 3 sheilds like thunderclap and lowers enemies defenses. Helm of Fear (passive) - Lowers enemy attack/defense. Ultimate: Bright Sheild - Does 150 Damage to enemies within radious ; heals nearby friendly 200 hp. ____________________________________________________ Rockaku Assassin Snap - 5/9/14% chance to deal sudden death Phase - Transports to the back of a nearby enemy. Esponiage - grant vision of targeted enemy unit. Ultimate: Shadow Masters - Summons 5 illusionary duplicates that do 50% damage and have 75% hp. ____________________________________________________ Pesmerga Titan - Does 2x damage for 10 seconds. Chaos Shield - 10/20/30% chance to obsorb enemy magic. Dragon Mail - 10/20/30% increased armor. Ultimate: Rage - Obsorbs all damage for 10 seconds and realeases it on the enemy. ____________________________________________________ Vlad the Impaler Decrepit - Unholy Bolt that decreases enemy units armor to 0. Bane - Does 600 damage to any building. Specter - Summons specter ; 23-35 dmg, lasts 60 secpnds. Devour - Goes on a feeding rampage. Whatever damage is dealt at the end of 30 seconds is transformed into health for nearby allies. Thats all for right now. Please give me credit and feel free to edit them in anyway. |

The thief spell wouldn't be too hard to do.. Just have a UNit is ordered a command targetting an object.. Then figure out what the object is (heroes).. Then alls you have to do is MAKE that hero drop the item.. And move that item into your inventory.. |

Guest | What I would like to play: 1.) No tomes. Item balancing should be done ala: +3 weapon 100 gold, +6 weapon 300 gold ... [...] +12 weapon 900 gold so low items are worth getting 2.) No Unit has more than _1_ passiv ability. Take the Blizzard System ala: Aggressiv, Defensive, Passiv/Special & Ultimate. 3.) No ghayass evolving via replace trigger. 4.) Get something special into that makes the map worth being made. Special kind of play or something. For example, really nobody needed a map like Tides of Blood. Beside that its bugged and has server split / discon bug every 5 minutes, its unbalanced and everything in was seen before. |

Pesmerga, thank you! Some of those spells I can easily make with triggers, such as all of Pesmergas and Vlads (except for maybe Devour). I'm sure I'll use a bunch of those...is Pesmerga your WC3 name too? And to everyone else...thanks for your input. I'll be working like mad now :D |

Anyone with a 2 handed sword and has to be black. Oh and I would like it to be strength based. Everything else you can edit, those are the only 2 things i require :) Hey, if you give me a .tga that you think is appropriate for Pesmerga, I can do a skin of it. |
