please read the tutorials... almost every aspect of skinning is covered there...

You cant import skins with Image Extractor. That program is good for getting the BLP's converting them to TGA, and the converting them back when you are done. To import the skin you need one of the implementation tools or Frozen Throne's new World Editor.

the message says sumthing like uncompressed file... yoda_24 says u have to save it as a 32bit or somthing? but it has to be somthing with opening my edited skin cause if i open a regular skin(not edited) its fine so i guess its somthing to do with the saving or my skin itself...

When you save the TGA after editing it, you need to make it uncompressed. If you're in Paint Shop Pro, there's an options button you need to press. If you use Photoshop, it will ask you.

in paintshop pro it can only go up to 24bit and i hit options and pressed unsuport and try it again and still says same thing

uhhhh ok. i think i got it to work and i made a units folder like yoda said... and i have my .tga and my.blp of my skin... yoda said u have to have the original skin in there too? is that true? if so wouldnt it overlap with the custom skin?

MasterSlowPoke
No, you don't need the origional and the edited blp in the same folder.

Post a screenshot of the error. Press the Print Screen button to copy a screenshot to the clipboard, then paste it in an image editor.
