Raiden (yes, the arcade game) as a Warcraft Map

Yep, after 3 days of solid work (the first of which was wasted because I changed my system), I've got the first level finished and ready to "show off." The map is not protected, is done completely with triggers (no JASS), and is for up to 4 players. Control is completely by the arrow keys.

Known bugs/issues, as of right now:
-If the player slots are taken in order (say, player 1 and player 3 are playing, but no player 2), no shots will ever be aimed at player 3, and some shots will go no where.
-It is too easy, with the boss being too hard.
-Shot detection is a little whacky.
-If you don't choose a ship, tough luck.
-You can't move forward or backward. Won't be changed.
-Balancing may not be perfect.

Now, I know game wise it isn't much, but to make a new level I just need the terrain and spawn locations/triggers. It will also feature an upgrade shop, which isn't done yet, and 2 more ships (when I feel like making them).

Feel free to use the triggers/concepts/ideas in your maps, as long as I get credit. And look forward to the finished version when I feel like it :)

Nice to know that someone else has accomplished a shooter. I'm also designing a shooter but with a little bit more complexity. It's based off of the concept from Ikaruga (for Game Cube) and uses heroes.

Definately check your map out when I get off of work. :ggani:

Hmmm... I'd expect more replies after 24 downloads, but whatever. I would like to know what you think needs a fixin, and any bugs (if any) you encountered.

Geez... This map rocks! Although I miss the power-up feeling and massive shots that fill up the whole area.

Also, the ammo seems to be too weak against buildings. I suggest multiple damages of immolations.

I'm looking foward to this map.

The gold system wasn't in for the demo, so I deemed it unnecessary to make the buildings have other than default stats, as they don't shoot nor spawn enemies. Don't worry, it is already fixed. I am going to make the shop/upgrade triggers (half done) then it is just level buildings (which does take a lot of work but not time).

Also, don't worry, the highest upgrade levels will be screen filling orgies of destruction, and I am considering making a laser beam ship (i.e., hitscan - select all units in a box infront of shooting unit and hurt them with some special effects).
