Can someone please help me, i have just downloaded MPQ2kto import my skins to my map... but theres a problem with it (or is it just me).

When i open it, it opens an ms dos promt windows, shows some writing and then closes all in a blink of an eye... ive managed to capture the screen of that window to see what it was doing... or at least see what was writen and this is what it shows... (See attached pic). Now how do i use this program to add my skins to it...

Please help me...

-Thanks in advance
-Haz (aka Emeinem)

Note: Please keep in mind that the program opens the window shown in the pic, then closes b4 u can read it... i just managed to take a snap shot quick enough...

Forget MPQ2k. Use TechMPQ, WinMPQ, or TFT's Import Manager. I guess you're using PencilGod's tutorial? Use my "Replacing a Skin" tutorial.

Thanks for the tuto....

Ah, so thats wot i was doing wrong... i was originally using WinMPQ cos i liked the GUI on it... didnt relisle that you had to put it in the same directory as where the original unit/pic was from... i knew about WE deleting the imported clips and stuff...

Thanks a lot, that really helped me...

PS Oh by the way, there is a way of having the same skin twice (both the original skin and the recreated skin) on a map... and ive found that tuto to be very helpful and easy to understand so im going to do that (i need both ya see). Cant remember where i found it (it was created by Orge-Savage) If anyone want it... just post a reply here (or PM me)... and i'll add a link to it.... actually i'll just add the link to it now...

click here for the tuto by Ogre-Savage
Yob'guls file converter is need for that tuto i have already added all the files needed to make it work, its hard to find those files when u dont no where to look for them... so all u have to do is download... unzip in any directory and open (ignore the war3.exe file, but dont delete it or move it to the warcraft III directory).

Hope this helps ppl

Yo thanks a lot for helping me out... heres what my FIRST EVER skin looks like... its only a recolour but i couldn't think of nething else to do. Tell me what you think...

Oh and again, thanks... i'd never have been able to do it without ya (telling me that i could use Coral, ur tuto of adding it to a map, and well basically thats it... but those are the main things needed in creating a skin... correct (well there imagination, but that cant be taught).

Thanks... oh and thank you to other ppl who have helped (just cant remember your names, sorry... but im sure you know how u are).
