In the Downloads section of this site I saw a downloadable Timestop map, but sadly, it crashes when run. (Not TFT compatible, I think.) Even if it did run, it was made with JASS and 3rd party programs, so the casual map maker couldn't just adapt it to his map. So I made my own :)

How it works in-game:
-Hero casts spell (it's an ultimate)
-Graphic appears above hero
-Every other unit on the map besides caster is frozen (with Pause trigger)
-All other units have their animation speeds set to 0% (to look truly frozen)
-Caster is free to move, attack, and cast spells
-Duration is set to 20 seconds, which is the same as the cooldown, so you'll know about how much longer it'll last by looking at the cooldown.
(Note: The cooldown starts as you begin casting, and the duration starts when you finish casting, so the units will still be paused for .5 seconds or so after the cooldown ends. This won't interfere with chain casting it though.)
-At the end of duration, all units are unpaused and animations set back to normal
-If a unit dies during Timestop, its animation speed is set to normal so it doesn't just instantly turn into a corpse

To transfer to a new map, open this map and your map at the same time. Right click and Copy the two Timestop triggers, go to Window and pick your map, then Paste. Do the same with the Timestop dumby ability. Lastly, create a Special Effect variable called 'timestopeffect' and a boolean called 'timestopped' to make the triggers work. (The triggers will show errors when these are missing, it will show you what names it's looking for.)

Known bug(s): Blizzard and Rain of Fire only do damage on the first wave. This, I think, is due to the units being Paused. I don't think it can be fixed. The simple solution is to not give those spells to a unit with Timestop, which sucks since those spells can really take advantage of enemies not moving... :nono:

That's all. Go try it! And then go make your own cool triggerspells!
