I have five questions: 1--Is there any way to make a unit target more then one enemy unit at once? In the unit editor, there's something called "maximum targets," but that doesn't change how many enemies it targets. 2--Can you change ability animations (death and decay to flame strike for example) in the unit editor, or is that .slks only? 3--One of the custom spells I'm making is the old black arrow, where HP is drained until the unit is at 1 HP, and is then indefinitely stunned. Is there any way to stun a unit, using triggers, after x seconds, or after HP reaches a certain point? 4--Is it just me, or does WinMPQ not open TFT maps? Am I doing something wrong? 5--Any way to override what is displayed for a spell? I don't want the little ghost thing over a unit's head after Shadow Strike is cast on it. There was another question, but I forgot it. Oh well. Thanx to anyone who can help. :ggani: |

1) yes but you have to give the unit the missile(bounce) attack too 2) Unfortunately, these animations, knowned as buffs, can only be edited via changing the buff data from txt files 3) Yes i supposed you could use the trigger action unit - stop unit or similar applying the stun buff sfx on the unit to emulate the stun effect while testing how much hp left there is. 4) You might be doing something wrong, or just use an old version of winMPQ as it definitely opens .w3x maps as easily as w3m 5) Yes that target effect often is in the ability editor, unless it is a buff target art, in wich case txt editing is required Regards |

Questions 4: I know what u mean. It still can opened .w3x maps. It just doesn't show .w3x's as a default .mpq archive since you are probably using a version WinMPQ that was made before TFT came out. I don't even know if a newer version WinMPQ exists, but all you have to do is change the open file types from the list of dafult .mpq files to all files (*.*) and proof you can open .w3x's. |

Thanx to both of u. I don't have time today to test anything out in the world editor, cuz im gunna be at camps/vacation for the next month or so. I have a few more questions though: 1--Is there any way to make channeleing spells non-channeling? 2--In the ability editor, there's a place to chose a missile art. Any way to add art to something that normally doesn't have it? 3--In the "combat" section of the unit editor, they have two fields, related to damage i think, that say "medium" and "small" (along with something else that I can't remember). Is that bonuses to small & medium armor and, if so, can I make those bonuses negetive? 4--Is there any way to edit what kind of spell something is (Universal, Magical, Physical)? Thanx again to anyone who can help me out. :D |
