Guest | I'm making a hero called the Mage Lord. I'm having a few problems with him. I have added him to the Tavern with the other 5 neutral Heros. On the top row are Sea Witch, Dark Ranger, and Pandaren. On the bottom are Pit Lord, Beastmaster, and Mage Lord. The problem is, I can buy him multiple times, not once like every other Hero. Also, I'm having problems with his abilities. I made custom versions of Siphon Mana and Life Drain. The last 2 abilities (a resurrection spell and a summon) show up fine, but the Mana and Life drains are borked. If I chose to learn Siphon Mana first, then Life Drain will not appear in it's slot when I learn that next. If I learn Life Drain first, then Siphon Mana doesn't appear. Also, Life Drain lists the effects of Levels 1 & 2, but it says nothing next to Level 3-. Siphon Mana lists Levels 1 & 2, but doesn't even say Level 3. It just has something like |cccffff| |

Are you creating the units through the FT editor or by editing files? I have run unto this problem before. WarCraft automatically limits the training of the other heros with unseen triggers, just like it limits the training of all heros to three. What u need to do is a make a trigger for each of your custom heros. It looks like this: Player - Limit training of Mage Lord to 1 for Player 1 (Red) You can also change the number of hero you are allowed to make by the similar trigger of: Player - Limit training of Heroes to 5 for Player 1 (Red) As for the custom hero abilities, you can go into object editor and click the upgrade tab, find your custom abilites and then edit all the value for tooltips and stuff. For the spells that only show when the other doesn't, make sure that you have different button positions for each. If they still dont show up, it is probably because they use the same core coding and you should find another spell to base one of your custom spells on. The |cccffff| is part of a hex color coding. You can fix that under the abilities tab in the object editor too. Download a text colorizer and you can make pretty text colors for your spells, too. :ggani: |
