Single-player... It opens a lot more opportunities for the storyline. I hate multiplayer RPGs due to the lack of storylines.

An open rpg is an rpg in which you can do almost anything you want and not stick to a storyline, it doesnt have to be multiplayer. I happen to know since im making an open rpg right now...

My best experiences on bnet (of which I've had so few) have been in multiplayer RPGs. The terrain is average, the storyline makes no sense and the cinematics always skip on my crappy 56k, but it's fun anyway because of the company. I've been in RPGs where the entire team has diligently trouped through the map for 4 hours...we all died horribly right near the end, but that's beside the point :P. What we did was have fun, and considering the ratio of lamers to decent people on Battlenet, I'd have to say I've been pretty damn lucky so far.

theres always going to be some idiot that going to ruin the map for everyone and everyone leaves and its only you and a buddy that stay alive and beat the whole map by themselves.

Multiplayer with friends, not sure if I could handle bnet's cast of 5 year olds.

The average players attitude are bent toward making others feel bad and craving attention.

if u make an obscure map (and add sumthing like "no <watever>s" the type of person u attract is surprisingly good :)
