Revolutions

Hi everyone, after reading around for a while, ive realized a lack of ways for cinematic artists to get recognized and space for their project to be hosted. Well, after working hard for several days straight, ive managed to put together a FULL site for anything and everything WC3 and WC3 Cinematic related. A full press release can be seen on the main page of the site, which is located here: http://wc3revolutions.tk We are currently working on getting a new forum skin, but right now the entire site is up and running, with the few exceptions of a few control panel features being worked out, but that doesnt affect anyone.

If you are a cinematic artist and need a base for your files, images, press releases, or just a spot to discuss your cinematic, WE ARE YOUR SITE! We have NO ADs, and file hosting for your cinematic. As I said, please read the press release we have on our main page, at http://wc3revolutions.tk All are welcome. Please register on the forums, and help us build the FIRST wc3 cinematic resource on the net.

All Map developers, and the general public are welcome. While cinematic resource and hosting is our purpose, we still offer a kind discussion atmosphere for everyone to chat in, and we also run our own news section.

You DO know that advertising another site is against the rules right?

I'm letting it go this time though, largely because we DO need more file hosting places. Don't do it again though.

How else am I suppost to tell people ill give them a hosting source. Mass PM them? Im certainly making no money off of this.

I just want to help, and I figured this would be the best way to do it.

Ok sorry about that, its fixed now.

My server is acting up, its being real slow on the main page and the GD isnt working properly (hence the problem with the security image)

Yeah, that's really great. Cuz most of the cinematics have too large size, especialle because of imported music, so it's hard to find a place for them, while most of the cinematics are not that big to make a whole project out of them (like CotN). So making a specialized cinematics resource is a really great deed for the humanity! ;)

Mass PMs isn't what I wanted, the rules of this site are pretty blindingly anti-competition (they even censor several site addresses).

What I'd do if I was you would be to change the link in your sig to "FREE CINEMATIC HOSTING AT http://wc3revolutions.tk" and add some ads to the end.

Hmm... how much webspace do you have. If you can host The Tale of Archon (will be at least 100+ mb, prolly around 150) I may get hosted there instead of Wc3c.

EDIT: If you don't have that much space, I may ask Skull if I can just upload files to wc3c when i finish the project as I would very much like to get hosting at your site! :ggani:

Phsss, I get as much as I need. And if somehow I DO hit a limit, I can always load files on my backup server, which gets me another unlimited everything :)

So dont be afraid, we welcome everyone. You will get everything you need and a friendly enviroment.

Just a lil thoguht that popped up in my mind, perhaps you could ask to be added to the site affliate/link list?
So u would get your link on the front page.

I dont think the site is anti COMPETITION, they just dont want anyone to spam their forums about some crappy geocities sites they made in a few minutes...
I figure one would have chances to get on the links list if one just has an good enought site to offer and can represent it politely.


This is of course just an idea and it probably wouldn´t work, but hey, no one dies if you try...
