is there any way to make a temporary charm spell, or an "acid breath" spell? (a breath of fire spell that does poison dmg and/or can change color of the fire to green?) or w/e.

I guess it´s possible but it´d require more than the Object/Trigger Editor I guess.

PS: Why did u make 4 threads?

u could have answered his question instead of making a useless post.

anyway, what do u mean by temporary? do u mean the charm wears off?, or that thw unit only has the ability for a period of time

well i konw the first can be done with triggers, just make him revert to his normal race some time after with a trigger

basically whenever the caster unit obtains a target, set that target to the variable, "spell target" it doesnt matter what he does to it because when he ends up finally casting a spell on a unit ( even after playing for a while, attacking a buch of units and returning to base and stuff) when he is ordered to use the charm spell, the unit will become the variable and then u can run another trigger checking when he casts the spell and then depending on what the unit belongs to, return it back to that player after a period of time

u can use the "spell target" as a generic target variable because even if u order him to attack a unit, it will set the unit to the variable, however, it doesnt matter because when u cast the spell u have to shoose a target anyway which will set the desired unit (u have to have a generic spell target for each player). THis is how u can get around blizzards lack of a "unit is the target of a casted spell detection.

just post if u have any questions
