Hello! I am seeking at least 2-5 people who are good with cinematics! Why? because this will be a 10-20 min movie completely done with cinematics! If you would not mind helping me make this "movie" then e-mail me at [email protected]
You can also see a Tutorial i did on the Unit Editor at war3info.com in the guides section. you can also visit my site http://www.grimdomain.tk

The plot is already thought up. And if someone knows how we can get a voice actor to speak for some of the units that would be great! I hang out on the East Server in channel 59! come visite me!

More than one person working on a cinamatic of that size will be hell.

It's a noble endevor, something I myself want to do sometime, but you'll never get it just right unless you do it yourself from the ground up.

He's right, you really don't want more than one person to work on the cinematic, it's like a movie, if you have more than one director, then it would be a big mess.

Dont worry im the director we just need trigger xperts and scene creators. its not just a bunch of Directors

Look dude, you shouldn't be heading a project unless you _are_ a trigger expert. War3 is still too much about technical/direction mixed together for their to be a seperation. However, art people and voice actors (the artists) are understandable.

OK then. Lets say i pull this off and it becomes popular? Why dont you just enoucourage me on this. Its a really big project i would think I would need all the help i can get to make this great. If u diss me on this then u might find yourself wrong. so encourgement and ideas are welcomed.

Look... even a director has to know what the special effects team can do, what talents the actors have and how a scene could be presented the best with the given conditions. This means you need knowledge of what you want the others to do. It's very difficult to lead a team without knowing what most of them do or how they do it.

The illogic of this is that you are trying to get fame for doing a movie, and are asking for talented/knowledgable people to "help" you (ie. do it for you). However, you are asking them to do this for free, AND expect all the glory for yourself. Ask yourself this: "What's in it for them?"

Look, all I'm saying is...

If you have more than one person (especially if it's someone other than yourself) doing triggers then it's not going to work. I've done small 30 second cinematics as sort of some tech tests and it's taken DAYS for me to tweak them just right.

Imagine getting a 10 minute movie back and having to tell someone else to change something minute without knowing the triggers involved. It's simply impossible.

For a movie, I'd say that the best team would be one script/story writer, one director/trigger writter and as many voice actors and what not that you need.

And personally I think the director/trigger writer should be the one that originally had the idea because he knows exactly how it should look.

It's a good idea, but impossible to do the way your thinking about it right now. The problem is multiplyed exponentially when doing something like this over the internet.

Honestly, man... lets get a mission statement... why would somebody want to watch a TWENTY-MINUTE-LONG movie? I'd sooner watch TV.

EDIT-I'm not insulting your credibility or talent, I'm just imposing a question that you should consider. WarCraft III isn't only about cinematics, its also about gameplay. Making a twenty-minute-long movie only limits what WarCraft III is all about, in my opinion.

Of course its about playing and having fun! But wouldn't you also take time off the comp to head to the Movies just to watch? even though you miss valuable game time? my point is. it doesnt matter how long the movie is...if its a good movie then no one will care.

I agree with TDS to an extent, and you to an extent. I think when it comes down to player satisfaction (after all, isn't that what releasing your work into the public is all about?), choices are the most important. You can have pride for your work, but make sure you have a skip option, since a 20 hour long in-game movie isn't for everyone.

My 2 cents.
