i need help on a hero thing

does any 1 no how to change a hero to a better hero when he reaches a certain level like level 10 he will upgrade to a diferent hero.. if u no wut im talkin about and no how to do it can u plz tell me how to do or help me.. thx

don't fully understand... do u want the new hero to retain any certain skills of some kind or do u just want the hero to die and a new one to take its place?

yea in a way when he reaches level 10 i want that 1 that 1 to die and a new 1 but a lil better with more skills

Don't be so impaitient...

Here's an Example of the trigger

Event (Unit- Specific Unit Event)
Unit - [Hero] Gains a level
Condition (Integer Comparison)
(Hero level of (Triggering unit)) Equal to 10
Action
Unit - Remove (Triggering unit) from the game
Unit - Create 1 [Better Hero] for Player 1 (Red) at (Center of (Playable map area)) facing Default building facing degrees


EDIT: I was just showing how he might do it, but yes, Cronanius, your method is better. Using Generic Unit and Replace (forgot all about that!) is better.

Yes, I've never tried this trigger out, but it seems like it should work. Test it out and see.

In other words, that was spam, bringing up your post count. Your hero won't keep the same items though.

:) s'not all that hard, just peek around a bit in triggs a bit ull eventually figure just about everything u want to do :). But if ur making a map where the hero is chosen (like an AoS) u can't use a specific unit event. u gotta do this:

Event--Unit-Generic Unit Event - A Unit gains a Level

Condition--Unit-Type - Unit-Type of Triggering unit equal to <watever>
Condition--Interger Comparison - Hero Level of (Triggering Unit) Equal to 10

Action--Unit-Replace - Replace (triggering unit) with... <watever> for (owner of(triggering unit)) using <pick one>

Allanon's way can work, but this way is a pile less hassle.

For items u can create a game cashe. Not sumthin i wanna check up on right now, but im sure sum1 whos more addicted to this stuff will b happy 2 tell u how.
