Heres a screenshot of my current project for a friend. Tell me what you think, its a human base and a nearby forest. ~Talila |

it needs 1 thing. a sky thats not black. if u don't know how already, you can do it under triggers by going: Events--Map Initialization Actions--Environment-Set sky to <watever> :) otherwise its cool lookin |

It's a bit empty and the terrain seems a BIT artificial......... I'm being honest there. |

It is at the moment very unfinished, im just the terrain peron here, ill let the other guy deal with the other stuff, and the sky is well, i took thes screenshot in WE so i dont know how i would see a sky, heehee ~Talila |

ah boo hoo. still looks cool, and i doubt talila's done yet. add a bit o' this and a bit o' that to spruce it up mebbe but it still looks real neat. The forest looks good and watnot, it is fine, and will look a pile better with a sky in there. u wouldn't believe the difference a sky can make in a screenshot or cinematic... |

hmm i disagree i think the forest it a bit artifficial, it seems sorta like instante forest just add World editor, put some logs and bushy things, key to making it looking good is lotsa pretty but relavnt dodads in the right places |

Thanks for the pointers. Heres a screen of another part of the map, This is a Naga Base. ~Talila NOTE: None of this will have a sky because they are taken in WE, and for all i know i cant make the sky show in WE, i know i need a sky so please dont point that out to me right now. Now for the image... |

I have to say, those are some pretty nice terrains there. The only flaw is that they're very plain, not much detail in most of them, but another person who's working on your map could do that. Otherwise, good job. :D |

If it's taken in world editor, just press "k" to turn on the sky. You can also change the sky by going to File-->Preferances-->Visuals tab, and then changing the sky to the one you want. |

I wont lie....Its not the prettiest things I've seen.... You should really look into using rocks, and cattales, and waterfall effects. The "naga base" is just a few random trees and a beach. Id go out and pull a blizzard. Make the terrain look as natural as possible, by using random doodads and terrian. First look, its ok. But i wont say that its perfect quite yet. :D |
