go in TFTWE go to abilities tab in object editor go to neutral hostile folder go to hero folder located in the neutral hostile folder click on charm... scroll down till you see Stats - Duration - Hero Stats - Duration - Normal change the 0 duration default of both stats to the number 1 or any number above 1 that may cause the charmed unit to be temporary |

Hmmm... Only temporary charm? I always thought the main spell giving you thwe full unit was rather useless in most situations.. Let alone having it be temporary.. But.. What you would have to do is this... Code:
EVENTS - An order has been issued targetting an object. CONDITIONS - Order is equal to "charm" // To figure out the order string.. Just look at the ability in the gui // editor for a line called Text - Orderstrings... Should find some // sort of charm or something there. ACTIONS - Wait 20 game seconds - Change Ownership of targetted unit to previous owner. I always wanted to know what that previous owner subtype was useful for.. Now I know.. :) Basically.. You could make a dummy spell and just make it say... Put a special effect over that targetted unit and make it change ownership right before the wait timer... Then swithc it back after so many seconds... |

none of these ideas work, i mean, i cast the charm spell but the target unit still stays under my command after the alotted time. |
