With the release of TFT, I thought it would be a good idea to get some new tutorials out there. The only problem is there are alot of topics out there, and they all deserve equal attention. So I've decied you, the forum browsers, know what you want best, so I'd like anyone who wants a tutorial on a particular subject, to post a reply with the tutorial of their choice, and after there are enough ideas, ill set up a poll. You will vote for the tutorial you want, then I'll write it. I hope to make this a repeating thing, and hopefully I can get a tut out every 2-3 weeks. While you are deciding and voting on the next topic, I'm writing an in-depth modelling, animating, exporting, and particle emmitter tutorial. hopefully i can get this done in a week or two. so go ahead people, post soem ideas, and please if the idea has already eben posted, dont repost it. |

Hmm you know what else would help - TFT and RoC sub-categories for Map Dev and tools forums. Alot of stuff is different for TFT and RoC. Like I've seen people telling someone to use WinMPQ to import stuff into their maps when they have TFT. |

If you need any other ones done, I'm always open for submissions. Just find a specific question that isn't answered on my site (execpt for map making - I know almost jack about that) and I'll write a tutorial. Hell, send me the map making questions too. |

NO MORE MODELING/SKINNING TUTORIALS!!!!!!!! I find that there are loads of modeling and skinning tutorials on the internet (including wc3.com), but there are very few on triggering subjects which are by far the hardest thing to get round in any WC3 editor. I'll stop ranting now........... As for what I think would be a really useful tutorial, I would say a tutorial on using the Game Cache in singleplayer and multiplayer would be really useful. If you search on google there is only 1 tutorial on the subject and its written awfully. My Choice: Singleplayer and Multiplayer game cache |

particle emitters and effects have my votes (my weak spot in 3d :P) |

Personally i wouldn't mind seeing a detailed tutorail on custom text, as i know nothing on it as of yet. |

*I think you should do a tutorial on how to make a 3rd\1st Person camera, that moves behind\with a unit\hero, etc. *I think you should make a tutorial on how to make a trigger do a random action. *I'd also like more Warcraft 3 related Tutorials (Less stuff on Modeling\Skinning Etc.), you really should just spell check the old tutorials, and add stuff to them like how actually to find\put a skin in Warcraft 3. Most Tutorials on skinning just give you tips on skinning. *You should also probly get rid of some of the relics in the files section. I don't know about you guys, but I like the Bliz Spell Editor, MUCH MORE than the custom versions that take forever. * Really my point is alot of ppl don't have very trigger mastered, and more complex trigger Tutorials are needed. :gsmile: |

Maybe you could just write a bible. Everyone could pitch in for their best topic. Then again, this would require a team. |

I would like an Unwrapping complex models (more than like 200 faces) tutorial but i would like it to be video with the person doing the tutorial telling what they are doing (3ds MAX 5 preferably). I know kdub did something like this before but it was for modelling a head and didnt really have any commentary and really wasnt a tutorial anyway. I think someone like say Drax, or kdub, or any other decent moddeler with free time should do this. Maybe even get a few videos in to show different types. |

I'm with Electromancer. We need a tutorial for most every subject, except skinning/modelling. There are too many already. I'd like to see more triggers, camera, and effects, like fog and stuff, which are important to cinematic makers. And this might be dumb, but tips on making better terrain would really be of use to every map maker. Especially cinematics, which need gorgeous, sophisiticated terrain. I could add a little to that. You don't know how many times I've looked at the terrain of a map and say I could make it better, or point out little graphic issues, like the floating trees in Heart of Evil. Little tips would go a long way. |

I'm in agreement with Draco, and I also think that we need tutorials about all of the new triggers in TFT. I agree with most everyone else as well, NO MORE SKINNING/MODELING tutorials. |
