Do you hide things that are like easter eggs in your maps? Or things that can improve gameplay? Dark Crescent has lots of hidden things. |

Yes I do, but most of it are just unit´s for Special Effects maybe 1-2 easter egg per map isn´t that bad. |

hell ya! i like puttin invisible shops in mine that hold the best items. u need a gem of true seeing 2 find them . Hidden things in RPGs r the best tho, cuz they can really help thru tight spots, and otherwise it would b no fun. |

Hidden things? Oh yes, I'm creating 2 versions of my map: Blazing Dreams: Fire and Blazing Dreams: Water. If you beat v.Water, you have a password that allows you to get DIVE skill for the v.Fire. Then, you are allowed to swim for treasures :D. (It's not actually a spoiler, 'cause it's a feature and I'm not telling you where the diving places are). And if you pass v.Fire, you get a BURN skill (trees) for v.Water. It's pretty neat, but I'll do that after I finish the RPG.... |

Hidden things make the maps, aslong as you cant abuse it, like an AOS map that has 1 hidden item that gives +200 to all stats. Gay |

obviously. I didn't say b cheap about it. But a couple hidden items that you can only, say, get 1 of that might increase attack speed by 30% instead of 15 can b a real nice addition |

Yah I always put easter eggs in my map but make sure you can't get it immidiately when the game starts. Or else this would happen - player 1 would always get the same easter egg because when your hosting the map you know where they are. Also, I make my easter eggs only occur once every 10-20 seconds so its possible just to pass it up, adding to gameplay. |

well i think some hidden things are good as long as they arnt extremly cheap and your map is protected so u have to find things by mistake (and u dont tell ppl) |

There are also hidden skills within the RPG that I'm making, but not overpowering. They're just harder to get but WAY stronger, although you don't have to depend on them to win the game. I personally like AOS hidden easter eggs, especially Keys of Sealing's DH wanderer. |

Since my campaign won´t be released before X-Mas I guess (aprox. later due to my bad terrain skills that first have to improve), it won´t matter if I tell you one of my easter egg. (Yet I m not sure if Game Cache can handle it. In one map u´ll be able to play a lil "Hero Arena" MiniGame with a exp limit (that u can´t play there till u´re at a lvl you´re not suppossed to be by then *g* ), anyways if u defeat every Computer Hero in this Mini Game (and I´ll try to make this really hard, but fair (meaning there is no Hero that has a much higher LvL than what the exp limit is set to etc.)) U´ll get the last one as an assistance in the last battle. (And no he´s not invincible =) |

Some hidden things I put are items, not really hidden, but your walking down a wide path, and there is a small opening that you can fit through somewhere along there, that leads into an item, obvious if you are looking for it, but you miss it if you arent watching. Lots more, but you will have to play the mod to find out for yourself. |

Easter eggs are always nice, but I prefer to make kewl looking ones then functional ones :). Like for example in a TD map, an egg that changes the enemies colors every few seconds. EDIT: kewl 50 posts :p |
