damn alpha wont work

ok i was reading slowpokes tutorial on how to remove parts of a model and when i went to channel on photoshop alpha1 wasnt there only the blue,red,green stuff was there now alpha and i DLed the pacth thing for it too...

Did you install the patch? You'll have to restart Photoshop, the commense the repairs.

uh ok i figured it out i had to restart my pc... now when i go to alpha1 it is all white and has some black like a black ball... so what exactly do i do to remove the BM beard

Either select the area with a marquee too before going into the alpha channel, or select one of the three color channels so you can see what you're doing. The alpha will be red.

White, but it would be red if you use the method I said above, so you can see whay you're alphaing.

so tell me if am doing this right...

1)get ur skin and lasso what u want to be alpha
2)go to alpha1 and color it white


but it is already white hmmmm

What skin are you editing, and what part? If it's a team color part, then you can't make it transparent from just the skin.

white = opaque
balck = transparent or teamcolor depending upon the model part

Huh? What's not transparent is opaque ('solid')!
