We are in need of people who can make cinematics with 3DStudio Max, Maya or whatever tool can make it look good. This cinematic will be used for Darky27's campaign which will be released in about 2 month from what I heard. If you think you can make a nice cinematic in 2 months to fit with Darky's campaign then please go to irc.irchighway.net in channel #wc3campaigns and talk to either me or Darky27 (No this is not ingame cinematics, its cinematics like Blizzard did in the end of their campaigns). |

Here are the problems... 1. This kind of cinematics take a LONG time to be made ,,, 2. Since Darkys new campaign involves Dragons, we need dragon models ... good dragon models are very hard to find (or create) 3. Need a lot of plugins to do a good one and that plugs will cost more than the prog itself... Maybe if Darky or you drop here the main cinematics story/idea... we could all do parts of it and get it combined at the end ... will be a huge time saver... :D |

id like to help, u guys have THE LATEST maya , coz i prefer workin wiv that if u dont have, i downloaded it of kazaa o well anyway if we could make these cinematics in an amount of time itll be an awesome campaign at least, i guess :D :D :D |

I have a suggestion... Most of you probably seen or heard of the new half life 2 engine- the source. That engine makes stuff look remarkably real, has incredibly real physics , and the good part is that half life 2 will be an easy-to-mod platform. My point is this- Wait a month or two (as far as i understand, the sdk for half life 2 will be available on the net before the agme itself), and when the tools are realeased, start working on the models and animation you need to put them in the HL2 engine. You could then record the game sequences and make it look like a movie. It's probably a lot less work than doing a full cinematic from scratch, since you can use the terrain of the game and whatever other effects it has, and the quality will be top notch... And of course, the physic engine is so amaizing, that it's just too good to miss. Anyway, that's just my crazy idea... Not as crazy as expecting from someone to do a blizzard-like cinematic in 2 months though :O |

Sorry this is off topic but when illidan and arthas waz fighting... omg it waz soo kooooooooool ... Well if some1 here would be kind enough to tell me how u do that stuff pweez :bgrun: I mean i am a fast learner or u could just tell me the basics mabye 7mins i could do the rest more then likely I dont have a problem using 3d'smax kk THX i would so much LIKE if u told me how !!!! pm so they dont get mad for being off topic O.o |
