If you just want an effect to exist on the map (or move around), the best way to go is probably to make a unit have the effect model. You can then scale the unit as needed (don't forget to make them invulnerable). If yuo're trying to make an effect larger for a spell, a missile or something similar, you're going to need to mdl edit. Somebody *may* be working on a program that would let you scale any model directly, but to the best of my knowledge, the program is not yet complete. If you've never mdl edited before, you'll need to download yobgul's mdx <---> mdl converter (go to the search page, and search for his name - that'll link you to the program). Not to discourage you, but if you haven't done something like this before, you may want to think twice; mdl editing gives you huge control over a model, without ever even opening a 3d program (you just use notepad) but the learning curve is pretty harsh. |

what kind of sfx? Are you using it as a spell? Are you using it as an attack animation? Is it on the map somewhere? |
