Simple question, I've been looking for the abyss cliff blp to import into my map, but can't seem to find it in war3xmpq. The only Cliff# doodads are lordaeron summer and fall...does anyone know where the new cliff tiles are located? |

Offhand... no but the new cliffs should be under ReplaceableTexture\ or TerrainArt\ in the war3x.mpq |

Yah, there isn't a replacabletextures/cliff subdirectory in war3x.mpq, and terrainart only includes the regular tile skins, not the cliffs. Strange that it should be this hard to find...I'm really eager to use the Abyss cliffs in my dungeon crawl :D I've had the area shadowpathed to emulate a chasm, and now I added water with black tinting. Close, but not quite the same as an abyss cliff, since the cliff suddenly disappears into the water :nono: |

Ok, open war3x.mpq and change the file filter to *.mpq. You should see a group of lettered .mpq's (A,B,C etc). These mpq's store the cliff and water textures according to the terrain 'code' they're given. The Outlands cliff is in the O.mpq. Extract that mpq onto your hard drive somewhere, then open it up. You'll then see the two cliff textures for outlands listed at the top. ~kharma |
