Guest | I've been having all sorts of problems with the various MPQ extractors/editors/etc. I was wondering if this has something to do with the fact that I applied the WC 1.01 patch. Would this cause the various MPQ tools to throw a fit? I'm getting ``map is corrupted'' errors from just about any tool that I try. If this is caused by the patch, is it safe to reinstall the game and not apply the patch? I'm slightly worried about the maps that I've created; I really don't want to recreate them... TIA, Dave |

Guest | I have WC installed in the default directory. Is there any requirements on the location of the map or tools? I've been trying to use mpq2k and WinMPQ. Mpq2k gives me a corrupted archive error and WInMPQ shows nothing but (listfile). Hmmm... maybe I am just an idiot that doesn't know how to use the tools. I'm going to bounce around and try to see if I am doing anything obviously incorrect. - Dave |

WinMPQ work but it takes a while to load the files. Easy wait some minutes. You can test it at the war3_patch.mpq file. |
