Making bone? (Photoshop)

Thanks to the 2 pros that helped me out last time with making blood, now all that is left is making some bone. Can anyone suggest some texures, and filters, and colors I should use to make bone? At the moment all I need is something to recolor an object to look like bone.

Humm bones are usually white, yeallow looking and kinda bright. Since you called me a pro ;) I specially made a pic for you right now (5 min work don't take that as my skills, sure). Think on it like a leg with an bloody exposed bone. Notice the layer blending methods used.

Was eating at my comp and had nothing better to do so I thought I'd take a crack at this.

I did an entire wound simply because I obviously had nothing better to do. Just load it up in photoshop and make all the layers invisible except the bottom and the bone.

It's a lot of layers. The bone is extremely simple, basically I took the flood fill with a light tan color and then scattered dark tan spots. The important thing about it is to make the tan look desaturated, so it's essentially barely noticeable. After that I just used a relatively high amount of the noise filter and a blur.

In my opinion the hardest part about making wounds isn't the blood or the bone, it's the flesh. Skin decays and turns different colors, furthermore once all the cells have died it starts to harden which essentially changes the shape and look of the wound entirely.

I'm still practicing with that.
