So far i have the terrain and the story behind each of my nine races, any helpful comments and critisisms are welcome.

STORY

Silverstar Races.
Hrugrai'ans
Humanoid race
Silvermoon
A break off from the Gharnians, the Hrugrai'ans (Hrugai for short) left their Gharnian (Gharn) ansestory to persue the power of machinery and alchemy. They allied themselves with the goblins, and slowly built up their powers untill 231 years later they pushed the Gharn armies out of Silvermoon and took over control there, now their technological powers make them powerful opponents, and the discovery of gunpowder has set them ahead of their enemies. They are steadfast allies with the Jungle Orcs, being the only race to come to their aid 94 years ago during the Great Orc Cleanse instagated by the Ratdraven and their Magi Allies.
Power Based Race, they have high attacks but low attack speed, average HP and move speeds.
Human and Goblin technologies.
Humans - Average all around, Priest and Holy spells. Goblins - Weak attack + HP, average speed, powerful alchemy, no spells.

Gharnians
Humaniod Race
South Windfall Desert Isle
The original name for the 4 tribes of the humans, the Garrans, the Anarks the Hrugrai'ans and the Armador, they still retain the name ever after the great Hrugai revolt 231 years before, now however they reside in the South Desert instead of Silvermoon, they are an all around race, and have direct hatreds against the Hrugai and the Swamp Creatures (both north and south.)
All around based race, average everything, they use Human and Elven technologies.
Humans - Average all around, Priest and Holy spells. Elves - High attack, low HP, average speed, average enchantments.

Jungle Orcs
Orc and Troll race
Twistvine Forest
The inhabitants of Twistvine Forest, the Jungle Orcs (or Oorraagahrr as they call themselves) compromise of Troll, Hobgoblin and Orc races. They are a Power and Agility based race, with the Orcs providing the beef and the trolls provoding the ranged while the Hobgoblins (a break off race from the normal Goblins) provide spell support, a powerful race they are steadfast allies with the Hrugai, and have been for over 90 years since the Great Orc Cleanse when the Ratdraven and their Magi allies tryed to clense the forests for themselves.
Everything race, but they dont get many units and are expensive. Orcs - Heavy attack + HP, slow attack, no spells. Trolls - Heavy attack, light HP, fast attack, Weak Shamanistic Spells. Hobgoblins - Light attack + HP, average speed, Powerful Magi style Magics.

Dwarves
Dwarf and Gnome race
Highpeak Mountains
The Dwarves and Gnomes (Gur'duk in their language) inhabit the Highpeak Mountains to the north, there they mine gold and iron and have done so for the past 1400 years. When the great war broke out they kept themselves to themselves, hiding in their impenatrable fortress and continueing the mining of their gold. However recently the Centaurs and Ratdraven have been launching attacks on the shores of Highpeak, and the Dwarves have been forced to take action. Sporting powerful mechanical abilities and dwarven runic magic, this race is by far the strongest upon Silverstar, but they have no allies and no direct enemies.
Powerful Race, uses Dwarves and Gnomes. Dwarves - Powerful attack + HP, average attack speed, slow move speed, sports Dwarven Ward and runic magic. Gnomes - Average attack + HP + attack speed, fast move speed, no spells but uses Mechanical Knowlegde to create strange contraptions.

Centaurs
Centaur and Half Dragon race
North Windfall Desert Isle
The Centaur army compromises mainly of Centaur warriors, but their air forces are bolstered by the Half-Dragon influences. They sport Ancient and Draconic magics, a fast move speed and attack speed, but a weakish attack and HP. Steadfast allies of the Gharn who landed on their shores 220 years ago, they live in the north area of Windfall Desert Isle where they have lived at peace untill about 200 years ago, when they launched a surpise attack with the Gharns against the Hrugai fortress, the attack ultimately failed, but it did enforce the alliance with the Gharns as they fought side by side.
Speed Race, uses Centaur and Half Dragon. Centaur - Fastish move and attack speed, but weak damage and average HP, uses Ancient magics. Half-Dragons - VERY fast move speed, high HP but weak damage and slow attack speed, uses Draconic Magics.

Ratdraven
Ratman and Draven race.
Plaugelands
The Ratmen (Skaven in their Language) inhabit the Plaugelands, until about 132 BR they were quite harmless, however at approximately 131 BtR the Skaven started to grow stronger and get more dangerious, the South Swamp Creatures were forced out by overwhelming Skaven forces. It was not discovered untill 190 AR just how and why they were becoming stronger, when a Skaven force attacked the Northern swamps and some Draven Warlords were spotted amongst the Skaven Clan Leaders, approximately 20 years later a Gharn taskforce made a temporary treaty and discovered why the Skaven were growing stronger and how they were getting their resources. Apparently the Draven or Half-Raven' had arrived in 150 BR and had taken control over the various Skaven Clans, forging them into a powerful fighting force and taking on the name Ratdraven.
Numbers race, uses Skaven and Draven forces. Skaven - Weak everything, but come in vast numbers, no spells. Ratdraven - Stronger than Skaven, use Disease and Transformation spells.

Lost Mages or Magi
Mage and Summoned race.
Illusion Isle
The Magi were once the powerful overlords of the world of Silverstar, but nearly 4000 years ago their reckless use of Magic brought the wrath of the Gods down on them, the Gods destroyed their tower and plunged the world beneath the waves. Only the combined power of the 5 Great Ones stopped the world from sinking beneath the waves forever, as it was they only managed to stop it from sinking completly, leaving only the highlands showing above the waters, they lost their lives in the attempt. Now the Magi inhabit Illusion Isle, the remains of their once mighty Mage Tower, and plot to recover what was rightfully theirs. One of their plans was to send the Draven, some of their people who had bonded with Ravens, to control the Skaven hordes to the north and unleash them upon their enemies, now the two races attempt to regain control of their world, who knows what ulterior motives the Magi have, but it is ovbiously not good.
Magic Based race, uses Mages and Magical Based units. Magi - Average attack, weak HP, average speed, slow attack speed, Highly powerful Direct damage and Summoning spells. Magical Based (Summoned) = Varies greatly, usually has elemental magics.

North Swamp Creatures
Mur-Gul and Naga race.
Forestswamp Isle
The North Swamp Creatures, or Nagul have inhabited the swamps since the beginning of time, however recently the South Swamp Creatures, or the Unknowns, have pushed them northward after they lost their home in the Plaugelands, they polluted the southern swamps and destroyed most of the wildlife, there have been many bloody wars between the Unknowns and the Nagul in the past, but as of 563 AR they joined forces, the Nagul wanted the Unknowns out, the Unknowns wanted their home back, as such they now concentrait their forces against the Ratdraven. They wield Deep Sea and Frost Magics.
All around race, Naga provide beef, Mur-Gul provide magics. Naga - High HP and attack, low attack speed and move speed, Frost Magics. Mur-Gul - Medium HP and attack, low attack speed and move speed, Deep Sea and Summoning Magics.

South Swamp Creatures
Twisted Animal Race
Twistmud Swamps
The South Swamp Creatures or Unknowns used to inhabit the Plaugelands along with the Skaven, but with the arrival of the Draven they were forced to abandon their homes and sail (or swim) south, they landed on the southern swamps, and pushed the Nagul northwards before settleing down and twisting the swamps to their ends, after many bloody wars against the Nagul they finally decided on a treaty to stop wars while they attempted to gain their homeland back, the Unknowns compromise of various Animals, twisted by corruption and magics, as well as some Daemons, they wield Ancient Fire and Pain magics.
Slightly power orientated. Twisted Animals - Varies, usually wields natural abilites, no magic. Daemons - Powerful attack, High HP but slow move speed and attack speed. They wield Pain and Ancient Fire magics.

Your map is rather ugly. The islands are all scattered and there is no real pattern. Try and make main lands that stretch from north to south and dont create a peice of land with the same terrain all the way though it. One thing to think of is how the units will cross from island to island. Will you have anti - air defenses and zepplins and/or boats? The story is great and believable but your map really looks like my *** on a bad day.

I gotta agree with Pes. Your trying to make the world too... symetrical I think. Every land is different from the next, there should be various land types in each land. Work on yer map, rest is great :)

yeah i know the map sucks :P i made it in about half an hour, i'll hafta work on that, it is suppost to be an island based map, but maybe i should go for bigger areas with a few smaller ones scattered across the place, thanks for the feedback.

Oh i forgot to mention that the sides of your isles are bumpy. That makes them look like germs under a microscope. Make most of your areas smooth and have a more smooth feeling when you craft areas. Take an atlas and look up some island maps and base them off that and change what you need to. It always works for me...

SentryIII
This kinda reminds me of Master of Orion 3, only with islands and not planets. I like Master of Orion 3 for it's complexity, but if this is gonna be too complex, people will be leaving as soon as you hit the Create Game button. Make sure you simplify it just enough so people are willing to learn to play, and put in some help messages too. :D

ok, i've given the map more land (although some has remained unchanged due to story reasons) i'm actually going to make an open RPG out of this once i've finished with the rest, i havnt smoothed it out yet so it still looks bumpy, this is WiP so dont be too hard on it. But i still want constructive critisism!
The RPG will be complecated, the war map will be reasonably simple.
Also each area now has a custom ambient background sound to go with its type and enviroment. You cant see the enviroments from this far away, i'll post a screenie of each island when i've finished off the terrain.

very good, map has improved greatly... may i suggest if you ever feel silly making a very small island in middle of ocean with bikini clad women or something like that... or some sort of inside joke, those are always fun to come across. But map is looking great and keep up the good work.

actually i'm thinking of adding the Ogres and Minotaurs as a sort of nomadic race, maybe stick an island in that space below the mountains.

now for the units (buildings will come later)

Worker - Shipwright

These are the two builders for the Hrugai, the worker constructs all land based towers while the Shipwright constructs shipyards, costal defences and lighthouses.

Automaton - Shredder

The Automaton is the body of a crippled warrior encased in goblin steel, he has a high armour rating but a low attack. The shredder is a larger variation of the Automaton, but instead of the body encased in steel it is bloated by the use of chemicals and then melded with the metal, it is faster, stronger and does more damage.

Goblin Blaster

A modified Automaton, this construct is piloted by a goblin who sits at the top and tells it where to fire, it fires flaming discs that set fire to any buildings they hit.

Pheonix-IV
Goblin Artillery (Nickname: Smasher)

A strange contraption, it flings a large metallic disc filled with a burning oil at enemies, good for taking down towers and quite effective against troops too.

Goblin Zeppelin - War Zeppelin

The Zeppelin has been a goblin contraption since WCII, how could i not include it?
The first zeppelin is a fast, weak air transport that carries 4 units, air in this game is fast but physicly weak and cant carry much. The War zeppelin is a bigger variation on the normal zeppelin, with the biggest change being removing the space where people would sit and replacing it with a Goblin Rocket Pod. Its AA only, a new air unit will be coming soon (when i get the model)

Hrugai Transport

A boat that transports many people, self explanitory really, no attack but fast speed and high hp.
