for some reason whenever i import a custom model it shows up as a green square. does the model have to be in a specific location? or is there a special step that i didnt do? edit: shit move this to map editing or model editing please |

If you are using TFTWE then just add it with the Import Manager and when you are changing the model, select your model from the 'Imported' combo box. If you are using UMSWE for ROC then add the model to your map via an MPQ program. Then change the model path to where you embedded it with the MPQ program. |

i put it in through the tft editor but when i switched to the new model i only got a green square. |

it supost to do that.... just start up the game and it will be fine. |

Sometimes it loads the skin right there onto the editor sometimes its a green square.. all in all its all good |

If you also place the model in the same place in your Warcraft III directory as it is in your Import Editor (i.e. default Warcraft III\war3imported\), then you will be able to see it all the time in the WE. That really only helps you, though. The important part as far as the map is concerned is adding it with the editor. This will just let you see it without loading the game. |
