Seriously, I'm getting pissed off at my World Editor. Me and my friend are making a map, and I want to make a hero ability based off of a unit ability; let's say Bloodlust. So I right-click, go to new custom ability, and choose Bloodlust, from the Units menu. So far so good, right? Now I scroll down, and check the box that says 'Hero Ability' , and set it to 'True'. Now it should have 3 levels, a place where I can change the research interface icon, etc., right? Wrong. I get nothing. All it does for me is move it into the heros folder. And by the way, don't tell me to make it have 3 levels, because there is no column that says 'Levels' or anything of that sort. My friend seems to do the same thing as me, and has no trouble at all. Is it some configuration or preference that I might have tweaked on accident? Please! Someone please help me out, or my abilities will be lame! emote_confused

i made an item ability to a hero ability and it works so i think the problem is there is a setting that asks you how many levels there are. Set to 3

EDIT: sorry didnt read right but there is a column that says Levels: no doubt. Its under Stats - Level maybe u gotta put to hero then level shows up

ok, here is your problem. First, create the ability and then change it to heroes. Now when you click ok, nothing will change other then the true/false part on heroes. Now, find the ability in the list again and reselect it by first selecting another ability and then selecting your created ability again. Like magic, there is a stat-levels. Ok, problem solved.
EDIT: rofl. the other guy posted right when I did. heh...
