Ok i downloaded Warcraft 3 viewer opened up peon, and converted it to a .tga, then i edited it in Photoshop 7 to make it's color blue. Then i saved it in the directory War3/units/orcs/peon as a .tga / 32bit/ i did not compress (RDL) the image. Now when i downloaded Warcraft 3 Image Extractor 2 it says in the helpme. that needed, storm.dll, ijl15.dll and visual basic dll files. I have Storm.dll, ijl15.dll, but i cannot find visual basic dll files, does anyone know where i can download the dll files. info: i'm running on Windows XP, i have Frozen Throne 1.11 After i have Image Extractor 2 working for me can some one point me to some tutorial(s) that could help me further? I have checked out alot of the tutorials and they never talk about how to actually get Image Extractor 2 working. |

Get the Visual Basic Runtime files from Microsoft.com http://support.microsoft.com/default...LN];vbruntime& (I pity those who don't already have Visual Basic) |

Uh, what tutorial are you using? That's a pretty screwed up method. Just use War3 Viewer to convert it back to a blp. |

W3V works, it works great but Warcraft Image Extractor 2 when ever i try to run it (without Visual Basic .dll files) it gives me: "Component 'Mscomctl.ocx' or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid" Also do you know what specific .dll files i need to run Image Extractor 2, or do i need to just download the Image Extractor 6.0 into the same directory as Warcraft Image Extractor 2? |

Whats a better method Masterslowpoke? I find that some of the tutorials conflict with each other. I do convert the skins back to .blp once i have edited them, but when i view them Warcraft 3 Viewer they just look like a skin mesh, there is no unit wrapped in the skin. Maybe you or some one else could help me? |

The best method is to use War3Viewer to convert the skin, editing it, then converting it back to a blp using War3viewer and then looking at it in War3Viewer. |

sorrymasterslowpoke, I can convert my edited skins back to blp in the warcraft 3 viewer however i cannot convert to MDX, how do i put my skin onto the unit model and put it into the map? |

MDX - model BLP - skin You just need to create a folder path inside W3 dir like the one u got the skin from (e.g. Textures\, so you must creat a Textures folder inside w3 dir), and then put the blp there and load the model in the treeview. It'll load the custom skin file. |
