I know how toedit the game constants so that you can have lvl 10+ heros but i read somewhere that you need to alter the experience cap as well. Is this true, and if so, how would I work out the new cap. I want heros to be able to go up to lvl 100. |

All XP constants are in game constants. You have to rate your XP gain carefully so it matches up with the difficulty of your map. Also, edit the creeps in your map to be stronger/weaker depending on their lvl. Their lvl makes alot of difference in XP rate. If you want a big boss that gives alot of XP, make him lvl 30. Or a small worthless creature, make lvl 1. |

Maybe I should rephrase my question. I have created an RPG and altered the Max Hero Level constant to 100. I have heard that although this lets you set heros to level 100 in the World Editor, ingame the hero cannot advance further than level 10 unless triggers are used. Is what I have heard true? If so, what game constant field would I need to change and what would I need to change it to. If a formula is involved, please tell me that also, because I will probably want to make maps with different Max Hero Level values. |

Why don't you just try out first, and then ask for help if it really appears that there is a problem. Whatever, I guess it isn't enough to set the maximum hero level, you will also have to set the constants for how much experience you will need to become lvl 11, 12, 13, 14 etc. |

Its 3 below the Maximum level, it's called Maximum XP Gain Range, just make it as high as it goes, and vuala! Now you don't have to worry about level 100 heros, provided you set the maximum level to 100. :D |

thx Drider! Saw it but didn't think of it cause of the range part. The reason I didn't test it is because it takes ages to get a hero up to lvl 10, and u cant use trigger cause then experience wouldn't matter. I don't have time to spend 4 hours on end playing a map. |

Hero Maximum XP Gain Range Type: Real Description: This is the distance from which a hero can be and still gain experience from a kill. Are you sure THIS helps? Rather not... edit: do as Pesmerge said and everything´ll work out |

I'm quite confused at what you said, Hodi. I mean, isn't all you have to do set the range to max? I did that for my arena, and everything works out fine. |

How canI be wrong then? I advised them to do what u said :p @*whoeverwasthiswhowasconfusedaboutmyreply* If you set the Hero - Maximum XP Gain Range to "9999999999" or so your hero will just gain experience from any kill within this range. (Sux if you have rescuable Hero s on the map) So you could basically camp at the starting position and send some Allies or Merchants to kill the Creeps, You´d still get max XP cause it was killed within your xp gain range. As far as I know the maximum XP the Hero can get isn´t capped, there just aren´t Creeps that have a high enough level in the normal maps. |

Please don't take any of my posts seriously, except the part that is meant to help people. If you lived long enough to go through high school, you would be surprised if someone didn't say bitch to you on a dayly basis. |

Okay, then I better get used to calling my friends "Bitch" , and them calling me "bitch". Sounds fun! :D |
