If you haven't already, buy The Frozen Throne. It comes with a campaign editor, a spell editor, a doodad editor, an upgrade editor, an AI editor, and a load of other useful stuf that makes mapping easier and funner (eh, funner :D ) |

well to add the spells to the editor u can add the slks and txts files into the war3patch.mpq. To do this you need certain programs like TechMpq This is what I did b4 tft. U might be able to use the new import feature for the tft editor. I'm not completely sure if it will work though, because I use the tft editor to edit spells |

There are two ways to edit abilities. You can use the TFT ability editor in world edit (which i think is the easy way). Or u can do it ur way which is to edit the abilitydata.slk and the txts files. I'm not sure about this, but ur all ur spell editor does is edit the abilitydata.slk and the txts files Here is a list of the files -AbilityData.slk -HumanAbilityFunc.txt -HumanAbilityStrings.txt -NightElfAbilityFunc.txt -NightElfAbilityStrings.txt -OrcAbilityFunc.txt -OrcAbilityStrings.txt -UndeadAbilityFunc.txt -UndeadAbilityStrings.txt -NeutralAbilityFunc.txt -NeutralAbilityStrings.txt I'm never used RedSkulls editor, but i would jus recommend using the TFT ability editor, it can do almost everything you can do by editing the abilitydata.slk and txt files, (correct me if i'm wrong) the only thing you cant do is change the buff art |

Yah, 3rd party spell editors dont have half of the options avaiable in TFT. |

your wrong... the TFT editor can do all the things you can do via SLK editing but you still need text files to change buffart and other data. |

If you want to edit the old-style way, do the changes that you want to make, and then either add the files to the map using WinMPQ or add the files to the map using the excellent and fully-functional Import Editor that comes with the TFT WE. If you want to make a multi-level Bloodlust ability in the TFT WE, select the existing ability and change the field "Hero Ability" (or whatever it is exactly) to True, by checking the box. Then, select a different ability. This refreshes the ability you just changed. Then, come back to your Bloodlust, and change the "Levels" field (to 3, I assume). Once that's happened, you should be able to change all the data for each level as you wish. |
