Spell Animations

Hey, How do you do custom spell animations like in Tiders of Blood, like when the sorc healed thing this big light came down, or the spell breakers ultimate where he like wind walked then move around and killed everyone, or when he did the burt of speed?

How do u do those kinda animations?

To do custom spell animations, you use the ability editor and change the animation art. Abilities have three different type of animation art, missile art, target art, and special art.

Missile art is the picture that travels like a missile from the caster to the target.

Target art is the animation that appears on the target of the spell.

And i'm not really sure about special art, but i think its the animation that appears on the caster.

The spell breakers ultimate is the special art of the mirror image ability. And the burst of speed is the missile art of the mirror image ability. I'm not sure about the healing one.

the healing one is actually the priest's healing spell with 0 cooldown. The spell art is resurection target, which looks pretty fuggin cool the way they did it. :)


it's probably one of ToB's better spells. That and the crazy mirror image SB ult.

hmm okay well first you make heal a hero ability, then you change it target art or one of the arts (hopefully not buff art) to the ressurection thingy. then change like cooldown time to like 1 or 0.

For the spell breaker thing i think you mean golden path im not to sure on that. it might have been done with JASS.

The burst of speed thingy is just blink modified.

I actually know how they did that too, but I'm not gonna give away all their secrets, that wouldn't be right, heh. :)

They did it with just normal TFTWE?

the golden path skill is just a stampede modified skill.....

with insanely high number of wave...and changing the the lizards to the mirror image thing

at least...that worked for me ;)
