Alrighty Im makeing a campagin which involves the Murlocs as a race, So far its turned out wonderfull all of the units, upgrades abilities, buildings, heros etc work great. Im having one slight problem. I have to spellcasters a Murloc Tidecaller and a Makrura Snarecaster now, my problem is that my tidecaller knows its first ability refresh then when I upgrade Adept training it lerns Crushing Wave but my 3rd ability Water Shield which is set as
Techtree Requirment - Murloc Tidecaller Adept Training
Required Level - 2
But My tidecaller wont learn water shield
As for my snare caster my abilites are Ensnare, Slow and Control Magic.
Both Slow and Control magic say requires Master Traiining and neither are learnt after researching both adept and master. even though the 2nd spell is set like so
Techtree Requirment - Makrura Snarecaster Adept Training
Required Level -
and the 3rd like so
Techtree Requirment - Makrura Snarecaster Adept Training
Required Level - 2
:mtk: So what other factors involve Spells at various levels! please help me.

As I have just learned myself, the spellcaster upgrade "Levels Required" is bugged. It doesn't work at all.

So, you have two options that I know of:
  • Say "Oh darn!"
  • Edit the <race>UpgradeFunc.txt file and import it into your map with the Import Editor.

It's an editor bug. You have done nothing wrong yourself.

If you want really want the upgrades, you'll have to edit the abilities the old fashioned way. Check some of the tutorials around here. And yes, the normal spellcaster's stuff works, you'll just have trouble making custom caster upgrades.

Yes, Blizzard plans to fix it in a patch.

Yes, there's a way to fix it, like I mentioned earlier, if you add the <race>UpgradeFunc.txt files to your map with the right information.
