W3z editor map help plez

So i created this map and it took a bunch of time.

a friend of mine came by and showed me how to lock the map..

well long story short.. my hd got corrupt and the only version of the map i slaved over is a w3z map editor locked map..


what can i do to unlock it so that i might get my hours back on the map.

Well, there are a bunch of warning everywhere telling: "Make a Backup First!!!"
Anyway, if you still remember the password, I wish you did click the "include unprotect record" when you saved your map. If you did so, then you just have to open it again with my map editor, enter the password, hit "Alt+Enter" and then go to the protection screen and unselect the "protect map" option. Then save again and it "should" work.

However, if you did not include the unprotection record or if you forgot the password, then nothing can be done:
just remember the purpose of map protection....
