Yes the name needs work. Will this be a TD? Yes AND no. Yes, you will get towers, build towers, defend against stuff using towers, and all that good stuff. What's different? Look in the next paragraph. It will not be like any TD. I got the idea for this from playing Norbo's War (which btw is a really good map :D ). What happens is you build a base. There's always a thing you have to protect in every TD, and that thing is your town hall. If you lose your town hall, you lose. To access towers, you have to build certain buildings, research certain things, etc. You can also train attackers that either can only attack the town hall, or can also attack towers, or even attack other units. You get income every 30 seconds, but making units won't increase income. Instead you need to make certain buildings to increase your income. Because of this, strategy will be a very important part of the game. Right now, I'm planning stuff like a LOT of upgrades for your towers, some mobile towers, flying towers, and some other cool stuff. So what do you guys think so far? Feedback plz. :) |

I've seen some TD maps that are similar to what you propose. It's a solid idea. Take your time and make things look good, be realistically fantastic, and thoroughly balance test and debug, and you should have a good map. |

it seems to me like thats what any map needs to be good. your idea sounds good, but just a litle bit on the complex side. |

the public might see the first word "TOWER ......" and then flock in expecting to build a bunch of towers for no reason, and then be disappointed when they actually have to use strategy other than that, gl |

Great idea. A TD for intelligent people! Gotta say I agree with Raptor-- though, the vegetables/10 year old kids who make up most of B.NET would quit as soon as they noticed that good playing was involved. |

Here's something else I'm gonna be adding in. At the start of the game, a few random technologies will be disabled for each player. So how are they gonna get every technology? They steal it. They have to send in "spies" to infiltrate their research buildings and they come out with a random technology not available to them. So now you have to protect your research buildings so your enemies dont get an advantage by gaining a technology they can't research themselves. :D |

In the beginning of the post, the game sounded very intersting and much different then other TDs, but now that you added "technology stealing" it sounds more like diplomacy...but I like it... :) |
