skinning dynamic models

i hope this is the right place to post this as it involves both skinning and models. i'm a noob to skinning and have studied the numerous tutorials and threads in these forums. i haven't come across this specific information and so post, hoping that my question isn't contemptible.

i assume that dynamic models such as destructible trees can be reskinned as i can export their blps. i want to know if importing them back into the game would be the same process as non-dynamic models such as units. from all i've gathered, the game handles the dynamic models differently so i'm left to ponder.

I think it works the same way. Just put it in the right place and it might work. I'm not sure though. Also you won't be able yo prewiew this kind of model on W3V.

thanks for the response KDEWolf. i suppose i'll just have to muck about with it with some test skins. it'd be nice to preview them in the viewer but i understand why that function isn't present. aside from that limitation, it's proving to be an invaluable utility for me.

That happesn due the fact that these models don't have a pathname at all, like team color and glows (the path is ""). That's why we can't implement it.
