Black and White textures

This is a somewhat massive project I think. I would like to make my map in black and white... nooooooo color at all. I don't think there is a trigger or option for this sooo...

1. Is it possible to change the skins of every unit, tileset, doodad within my map to black and white?

2. Am I even able to change the tilesets and such?

3. If I am able and I do load them all into my map... will my map become too large??

4. If it is possible and not too large, how would I change it within Photoshop? I went to Image>Mode>Greyscale and I wasn't able to import the TGA into the image extractor. Wrong compression.

It is possible, but your map will become massive. There's no way around it that I'm aware of other than greyscaling every single texture in the map and loading it in. And you can guess how large it'll get after doing that.

When you set it to greyscle the bpp becomes 8, not allowing it to work. To change them you can just get a brush, set mode to saturation n use 0 0 0 black as color. But the map will become massive as Shive said.

Maybe I could kind of cheat. Make my way around it.

-Use only 2 maybe 3 tilesets max.
-Use only 1 type of building (thankfully that works with the theme of my map)
-Use only one type of tree
-Use no water
-Use limited units.

I don't know... hopefully I could pull it off without it looking cheap and not as nice as it normally would....

Oh and BTW, thanks KDEWolf for showing me how to make it blackandwhite!

You know what... nevermind. I think this won't work. I knew it would be big, but I didn't think THIS big.

A simple 32x32 map with NOTHING on it is 6.3kb. When I add a black and white Dalaran grass and I changed the color of the sky brought it up to 233kb. WOW! This sucks too... because I had an AMAZING story!
