Couple questions about the tools I'm using...

First of all, I want to edit spells. I downloaded DaishiOfDeath's one, but it crashes every time I try to load something. I tried to download lodred's, but it seems to be a broken link (I was looking in the "Tools List" topic at the top of the page). If anybody knows where to get a functional spell editor (preferrably with a decent help file, I'm sort of new to this) please let me know.

Secondly, I also want to edit units a little. I have the W3UEdit program, and it works fine, but what do I do with the .w3u file when I'm done editing units? Where do I save it?

Thw W3U tool is outdated, so you should not use it anymore. I´m not 100% sure, but I think it is incompatible with FT.

Well I don't have Frozen Throne yet. So that's not a problem.

Just to update you, I downloaded Wiebbe's spell editor and it works fine (Not very flexible, but serves my purposes). I also downloaded WinMPQ that I will need to insert the .slk into my game.

Basically, the only thing I need to know how to do now is what to do with that .w3u file that I save with W3UEdit.

The W3U Editor is incompatible since RoC 1.03, as Blizzard added some new fields in this version. So only if you have RoC 1.0 - 1.2 it is compatible.
