Spell that Knocks Target Back

I'm working on a spell based off Stormbolt that stuns the unit and knocks it backwards. Everything is working fine, except I can't get the unit to move where I want it to go. I want the target to be knocked away from the caster a certain amount, what I have so far is they get knocked to same angle, no matter where the caster is. Help is appreciated.

Ok, now let me start by saying there is no way to do that with just ability editor (you probably already knew that...if you didn't know that, just hit back now because you won't understand what you'll need to do). This post is just to see if you are still interested in this. There are 2 reasons for this. Number one, it will take me a long time to explain how to do this and if it falls on deaf ears, I won't be too happy. Second, trying to explain it in a message board will be nearly impossible, and if you haven't had geometry yet, you won't even understand what it involves. So just post and tell me you are still interested and we can work out the details. I have AIM if you want to talk over that.

I already have all the triggers for the spells execution working correctly, so all I need is the knockback to work correctly. I am interested, but have not taken Geometry yet (quick learner though) so its up to you if you would like to help me. Regardless of your answer, thanks for the offer :).

That's good, although I am not a good "teacher" and trying to teach you the concept I use over the internet...um yeah, let's just leave it at that. Anyway, I will need to see at least your knock back triggers so I can adapt my method. If you want to e-mail your map to me ([email protected]), I can get back to you in a few minutes. If you really want to learn what I am doing, browse the internet for trigonomic functions, Sine, Cosine, Arcsine, and Arccosine and learn them. You'd be better off just to let me have a crack at it .

Oh wait, I forgot you can attach stuff to the post. Just post it here for me to download and I'll get back to you quickly. (You can still e-mail it if you prefer, I check it at least twice a day anyway)

Great, thanks :). This is a demo map because I'm still not done with the real map yet. (But soon)

Ok, it took me a few minutes to get a few of the bugs worked out, but now it is working like a charm. If you need to know, your Unknown wouldn't work since you didn't include the custom Abil with your test map. If you have any questions, just post here and I'll get back to you. If your question is about my trig functions, I'll try to teach you, but I don't know how well it will go.

If you need any other help with editing somethin, just let me know. (Oh, and you will get me a copy of your finished map :D )

Now my only hope is that the map becomes legend and that I become rich and famous.

Um... why -50? I could understand -180 so they'd move straight backwards from where they're facing...

Hey, np jitb, and thanks for the credit mention. And btw you other 2, you need to get in here sooner and post your methods. I mean, I helped him when it seemed no one else would.
