now its up to you, as the UMSWE team is closing in on UMSWE4.0rc1 i thought this poll was a good idea. The object editor has its limits basically removed right now, but some values WILL casue errors. Unfortunatly, there are endless combinations, and it would take quite a while for the team to test everything, so, how should we release the program? |

Hmm... well, i would let the community do the testing, because I remember an issue with beta testing in Zelda 64: The developers of Zelda 64 hired beta testers and bug finders to remove the bugs of the game. Little did they know, they hadn't begun to find them all. Such tricks as Swordless Link (which was corrected after being found by the community) or such wierd bugs such as the gamespy being able to permenantly change the color of link (found by the community) or something as simple as being able to change items into bottles (found by the community, has still not been fixed). So yeah, release and put a note in the startup screen so they can do the testing and make a thread for their complaints. And please, promise me you'll remove (or increase) the custom unit limit and terrain height limits (height = not cliffs). Thankz! |

@ KDEWolf, yes, and as I told you before, it wont be in the regular editor since the user has to import all your files for it to work, but in light of some recent project people like yourself have started, we will be including a NEW version of the editor, most likely based off of TM, that will be the Advanced Editor. It will use external script files, external models etc... |

"Release rc1 as 4.0 and let the community do the testing for me" Include in the readme "Get out of the limits at your own risk", if you find a crash combination of values please send them to ####@#####.### or go to www.wc3campaigns.com and post there. That way there will be certainly a lot of people testing. |

As I am in the UMSWE team (it's Scio and me), I tend to say: Internal testing. I would say, we release 4.0, and if there are any problems, we can resolve them in 4.1. And of course we write into the readme, that you use it on your own risk and so on and so forth. |
