Hello all, my friends and I love playing TFT and we decided we wanted to get into some mapmaking/modding and make our own conversion-type campaign, among other things. I have a few questions though before we get started... I have looked around for a few tutorials on modeling, etc, but Ive noticed that to do editing in 3dsmax, it almost always tells u not to delete any vertices or move meshes, which puts a major hindrance on doing almost anything we want to. What I was wondering is: Is there any way to basically make a model from either the ground up, or heavily modify(meshes/vertices/etc) a unit so we can basically make almost complete custom units and be able to make it work somehow?(Basically, we want to make our own goblins) If so, can whoever responds plz post links to information on doing this? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Allanon131 [email protected] |

I don´t want to disapoint you, but you should start with something easier, like SKIN EDIT. There are a couple of importers/exporters for the W3 3d models (*.MDX) , but no one works 100% fine. You can find the plugins and other tools here: http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forums/s...threadid=22336 |

You can make full models, and when the exporter comes out, you can export them to mdxs. |
