how come i cant get my skin to work ?!?

i edit the .tga and make it into a .blp then i get the thingo .mdx and the portrate .mdx one then i change the bmp path thingo to like war3mapImported\myunit.blp then i put them into the game then make a new unti and give that as the model used and place it on the map and it says can not load blah blah blah .mdl ??? help!!!!! plzplzpzl

You did something wrong. I'm not quite sure what because your quick overview of the skinning process, complete with no periods, didn't have the error. When you reply, make your description more through.

One question - In the mdx, did you put war3mapimported\myunit.blp or did you put the skin name instead of myunit?

ok i extracted the prestess of the moon skin using that immage extractor II thingo, then i did my changes to the skin in ps7 and saved it as (lets jsut say i saved it as myunit.tga) then i open that in the immage extractor II and saved it as a .blp of that same name.

then i got the prestess off the moon .mdx and then prestess off the moon portrate .mdx then i converted them into .mdl's and opend them in text pad and changed Textures 3 {

then did that with the portrat one, then tutnred them bak into .mdx's then imported the 2 .mdx's and the .blp into FTWE then made a new unit and where it has model used i opend that up and used the .mdx i jsut imported then i place on one the map and it comes up down the bototm of the map editor
can not load something.mdl

Aha.

You're supposed to change myunit.blp to the name of your skin. For example, if the skin is HumanBlademaster.blp or DHArmOREDx.blp, you'll need to put that in the path in the mdx.

Actually, in the FTWE Imported Models and skins DON'T show up in the worldeditor unless you have the sam files in the same folders in your warcraft 3 folder.

omg i dont think u know what u jsut said i f***ing did name it if u lok up i said that my thino was called myunit.blp so i did that on the fregen mdx and did all that but when i try to fregen use it it says can not fregen load fregen somthing .mdl
cuz blizzard dont know how to do anyhtign or the fregen ppl in here dont know how to explain stuff properly

I'm sorry, I didn't see that. When I read a paragraph without periods, the text tends to blur together. Anyway, I forgot about the folder thing, it was early. Do you have the files in the right folders?

Also, what did Blizzard do?
