I'm working on a map 192x192 its only 131 kb so far because of the triggers and some limited doodads well sorta. Anyways right now the map has 2500 doodads and the lag in the WE is insane. My comp is 3ghz 512 mb ram so I dont see that as being a problem. Are there any fixes for this problem? |

Don´t know any fixes either, my map is 230x210 and I have a lil less than 5000 doodads on it. Oh yes my PC is also a 3Ghz with 1Gb DDR-400 Ram. hodi |

um.. you can turn off the brush list for less lag in the unit editor, and lowering the detail level might help... but i don't see how that would be a problem on your computer. it should be plenty enough to run the WE. :bgrun: |

Have you tried going into Control-Alt-Delete and closing everything but explorer.exe, worldedit.exe and taskmgr.exe? If you have Windows XP then make sure you use the processes tab and log off all other users. Mine use to work slowly but after doing that it really speeded up. BE WARNED! SOMETIMES DOING THIS CAN CRASH YOUR COMPUTER. IT SHOULDN'T DO ANYTHING PERMANENT. I DO IT ALL THE TIME AND NOTHINGS EVER HAPPENED TO ME, BUT YOUR PC MAY BE DIFFERENT. |

Did that and there is still a 4 second delay from placing something down and seeing it appear. If I try do anything large with biggest brush size WE locks up. |

Hmmm...I certainly know that problem. I have it all the time...:( That is the reason why I don't make RPG's. My little computer can't handle such large maps (192x192 or 256x256) I am sorry I can't help with this...The only things I knew, was already said by 35263526 (Hmm...Strange name :P) Sorry for the inconvience Dark Dragon |
