A desperate plea for help!

Hey guys, I'm fairly new (2 weeks) to making models for TFT. Now before I start getting flamed for being a noob, I'd like to explain my problem.

Usually, I can figure out what goes wrong with my work by myself, but im desperate. I don't know what's up with my models after importation.

Here is what I have done:

1. Created a circle - cross shape (see below) in OpenFX Designer.
2. Exported the .3ds from OpenFX.
3. Imported the .3ds into 3ds max.
4. Scaled it to standard size.
5. Gave it the Editable Mesh modifier.
6. Gave it the UVW Unwrap modifier.
7. Used Flatten Mapping.
8. Took a screenshot of the Flattened UVW Map.
9. Cropped it in Paint Shop Pro.
10. Modified the cropped screenshot and saved in .tga format.
11. Ran Republicola's exporter twice as instructed.
12. Exported.
13. Removed the ReplaceableTextureID=1, from the model file.
14. Changed the Filtermode to blend.
15. Changed image path to Target.blp.
16. Saved Changes.
17. Converted to .MDX.
18. Imported both the skin and model into my map.
19. Took them out of the War3MapImported folder and into the main area. (war3MapImported/Target.mdx -> Target.mdx)
20. Applied it to a footman.

Ok, and here's the weirdness. I save and place the footman, and I get an error, "can't load 'Target.mdl'" even though I selected it from the Imported list.

Here's the screenshot of the model's skin.

The model is flat, so this is also exactly what the model looks like.

I think that it means you have an error in your MDL/MDX. Could you post one or the other?

Ok, I got it to show up ingame, but there is no texture attached to it!

I Followed the steps in Nicoli_s's tutorial EXACTLY when attaching my .blp to the model, and still no deal.

Does your texture have an alpha channel ?
What is his size, have to be 64*64 or 128*128 or 256*256 or 512*512.

I'd like to know what you fixed then, because I'm having the same problem. :(

If you delete the replaceable id then you have to make it "None" and not "Blend"... I had the same problem before... If it don't have an alpha channel and is on blend then nothing will show...
