Guest | I need help with unit animations. When I try to play an animation in a cinematic, it never plays it. The unit just sits there doing his regular animations. EXAMPLE: I want my Paladin to play his "stand - 3" animation. Actions: Animation - Play Paladin 0001 <gen>'s "stand - 3" animation Can anyone help me figure out why this won't work? :( |

Guest | I don't think "stand - 3" is a valid name. "stand" is the name of the animation and it's the 3rd variation. Thus you should use the unit animation + rarity trigger, I think. Other than that you could try "stand3" or something as name. |

Guest | Anybody has a list for valid names for unit animation ? |

Guest | For the basic animations, just check out the animation names in the unit selection - stand, walk, hit, attack, death, decay are the basic ones, I think. I don't know if there is any way to access a specific 'sub-animation' (eg. stand 2, hit 3, etc). Not all units have all animations. A child for example doesn't have the attack animation because it never was supposed to have an attack. |

Guest | It's very possible, in my Castlevania map I ran into this problem too. You have to make sure that you pause the animation (I have zombies that do their "birth" animation and the same with skeletons for cinematics), if you don't use a Wait command while the animation is taking place, it tells the unit to do Stand - 3, but then it immediately gives control to the character, so that if you touch the pally, or if he has an enemy nearby, etc. he'll immediately stop doing Stand - 3. Also, the game randomly shows the rarity Stands, so if you have no WAIT, that may also be what causes him to not show the animation for you. GL bro! Soulcutter |

Guest | You know in the WE that bar on the left which shows your unit/minimap/unit tree/....enlarge it and pull it more to the right. Like make it bigger. THEN it will show the full animation name. If you're still confused tell me. I'll post a screenshot. |
