I'm wondering if it's possible to import custom unit portraits or other pictures relatively easily in a custom map? Animation isn't really what I'm after anyway, just a still portrait. It looks like the unit portrait in the main game window and the cinematic window are both 3D models, and all I really want is just a pic... if I can get it to display elsewhere on the screen that's fine too... but I want these accessible in-game and to be able to display them when I want. I have yet to see the editor or the WCIII engine be amenable to something like this... any ideas out there? -Nicodemus PS. I'm referring to the larger unit portraits, although ANY means of getting an image in there will do... and ideally larger than 64x64 |

Hmmm, what a neat idea. If you model or even mdl edit, it should be easy to create a "flat square" model (only 4 vertices). If you don't, such an absurdly easy model should be easy for someone else to do - this is something you can realistically ask someone else to do, I suspect. With such a model in hand, you could skin it with your portrait. |
