Need Ideas: Naga Natural Defenses

As I continue working on Naga Melee, I keep getting closer and closer to it being a complete race. And often times I'm wondering to myself, what else can I add to the Naga to make them more like a playable race? Well, for one thing, they have absolutely NO natural defenses, and must rely only on the Tidal Guardians for defense. I'm having trouble though trying to figure out some sort of Natural Defense for them. I've considered maybe some sort of thing for the slaves, maybe some sort of temporary attack buff (kinda like militia), but I still need ideas on some natural defenses.

What ideas do you have? :ggani:

You could try adding a permanent frost armor upgrade so that enemy melee units will have reduced attack and movement speed when they attack the buildings.

Whats wrong with tidal guardians? Having farms that attack (without needing peons in them etc) is a pretty good base defence.

How about a Bloodlust-based spell that is autocasted on the main base building for the miners? No movement bonus, just crazy +attack speed.

Who cares. Their natural ability is to go in the water. Noone can beat that. If you aren't playing a water map, don't pick Naga to play as.

Yes, then those poor poor nagas see their base getting whooped while they run to nowhere land.

how bout u change the art of the coral reefs to a pool of water and give it the ability to have units go in (like a burrow)

give the bases the ability to burrow or have an edited version of big bad voodoo that makes all the units in the area of the building invisible, instead of invinsible

even thou they dont give food why dont u make it so they do, and lower the attack damage

Give their buildings a sheilded form, just make it so each building can switch its armor type... And... Idunno, but do that, that wud be neat

naga are pretty good as they can build on almost any surface, i think that if you gave em a fortefied armour upgrade that would be plenty

make the tidal faurdians to very little fameage but have devour. And if that's not enough make thier barracks summon no-build-time high-cost units with very low hp/armor... make them die after a certain abmount of time, you could do this via a summon spell that has the "require resources" extra data tag (or whatever the destroyer form ability has)
