I was happily editing the orc warlock (the creep version) skin one day, and made the face purple. also gave him a turtle on his book. I didnt want the nasty ol skulll on his staff tho, so i used my might powers of alpha, and edited it out. there, much more pretty. I also did some dentistry and got rid of that tooth.

Well, I was dismayed when I tried to open it in img extractor! for, when i went to open,it said the compression was not supported!!! So, I uploaded the one w/o the alpha, and it worked fine. SO, i made many versions, some with alpha some w/o. none with alpha could open. so i gave up, made the hand purple, and went with that. but then, that wouldnt open, even with no alpha messing. so i closed im xtractor and opened it, and though mayeb if i re extract it, then paste my one over the newly extracted one it would work.

to my further dismay, i now get the "sumthing weird" error. any ideas?

also, if anyone is willing, i need a special effects attachment, Ive seen weapons done, so im presuming sumone could make night elven ears attachable on sumone head?

thanks:ggani:

What program do you use? Save it as 24 or 32 bit, uncompressed.

You need Game.dll and ijl15.dll in the WC3IE2 directory.

It's working now, I don't know what was wrong with it before.

But It still says the compression is wrong, so ill try saving it as that. thanks.

...How do i save it as un compressed?:////

im using PSP btw...

its worked before, I dont know why it's doing this all of a sudden.

I keep editing this thread..

I really need fast help please. i wanna get this done. I dont know why, but all of a sudden my img extractor is popping up with the "need ijl15.dll" msg whenever I try to convert to a blp.

ive always had trouble with the dll files, because they are just NOT IN MY WAR 3 DIRECTORY. theyre not there, i dont know why.

Im pretty sure my umswe folder used to have them there, and that solved the problem...but they mysteriously dissapeared.:...:

Ive done a search for ijl15, and nothing shows. please show me a download so i can fix this problem

what REALLY pisses me off is that this was working, liek jsut the other day, then it stopped working for no reason.

please..help me!

If you're using PSP7, when you save, there will be an options button. Click it and set it to 24bit and uncompressed.

if you're using PSP8, you can't do it, I hear.

To see the dlls you'll need to turn on view hidden and system files. To do this, open up any folder, Goto Tools->Folder Options, click on the view tab, and check the radio button that says Show Hidden Files and Folders. The DLLs should appear now.

I dont know wtf is up with my editor, but its working fine for the time being. it's just being weird every now and then i guess.

So my only problem right now is the compression.

I just started working on making skins. The first time I tried was just a test, I changed the brightness/contrast on the blademaster skin. I did the steps using the ImageExtractor and imported into the map using the import manager and everything worked.

Then I tried making a more complicated skin, using various filters and the paintbrush. Then when I ran the map, the skin on the blademaster wasnt visible, the only thing that was visible was the team color on his pants =| I used different filters but i didnt mess with the alpha channels or whatever those are.

Can anyone help? Im using photoshop 6 and war3expansion. I spent a lot of time on the skin too :(

Make your own threads. :P

Your alpha channels are screwed up.
