Yo Is there a permanent Ability that makes a Unit invisible, even if it´s attacked? I tried ghost but I can´t attack units with ghost, I also tried vertex transp. but the unit turns visible once it´s hit (or this stupid wait function doesn´t work ://// ). hodi (Bored - Level 10) (Creeps) |

I tried permanent invisibility but now the attacking units just walk to the invisible unit and disappear ... (wtf?!?) edit2: fixed this but now they don´t want to attack the Permanent invisible Unit =( |

Well if you want the unit to be just invisible, not untargetable, you can always choose a spell effect such as silence for the model file. It'll be invisible forever then:p |
| 08-02-2003, 03:43 PM | #8 |
.... but it cant be detected to become visible..... dumbass =P |

Thanks for your derogatory comment, but he didn't mention anything about turning it off:) You can still change units if need be, so you can have a model at times. edit: Or if you want people to manually target the invisible unit, you can do it via triggers. When a unit acquires a target and the target is the unit being invisible(if it isn't, don't let the trigger run) then make it move somewhere randomly in the vicinity and then stop. Or only stop. It'll look dumb, but that's the best I can think of now o.o edit: Wait. Real permanent invisibilty as in SC is not possible in WC3 as far as I know. There is some heavier modding involved, it may be possible:/ |

Omg I feel so dumb... Of course... using a different model ...*dang*. Ye I don´t want to turn it off, it´ll be used for 2 purposes (ses?). 1. Placed infront of an Archery Target for a mini game and an optional quest. 2. Shield Spell which I need in a Cinematic. hodi edit: YES it worked thx Kenji. THX THX THX :D |

You can change the 'Duration' fields of the permanent invisibilty abilty to 0. Then the unit never becomes visible, even when attacking. Just like the good old dark templar. |

Yay, and that´s how it looks like inGame ;> (hihi they can´t even hit out of this range) |

LOL I found a way just give the unit Permanent Invisibility twice. |
| 08-03-2003, 12:01 AM | #14 |
Too late :p, oh and are you sure that you can attack this unit if it has permanent invis. twice? |
| 08-03-2003, 07:36 PM | #15 |
If it's detected, you can attack it. |
