Custom Ability in Upgrade editor (Spellbook)

Hello,

Is there a way to get custom abilities to work in the upgrade editor. Currently I have a spellbook with multiple levels and i want the upgrade editor to get my spellbook go up in lvl or spells in the spellbook via upgrade editor. Also if you use the spellbook as an item in your inventory it doesn't upgrade spells via upgrade editor.
