I tried pretty much everything, I allowed negative variables, checked the gameplay constants, everything, yet it still won't allow me to do it. Any help? |

The reason is, I'm making a FPS kind of map, it's called Point Blank. I've tried a lot of other ways, but nothing works. The thing is, if the distance isn't at 0, it doesn't look THROUGH the unit. you can still his back. The only thing that COULD work would be to make a unit that looks like a gun, but I couldn't find one in the editor. Any help? |

It is very simple, here's how you do it: Time - Every 0.25 seconds of game time Camera - Lock camera target for (Owner of Unit X<gen>) to Unit X<gen>, offset by (0.00, 0.00) using The unit's rotation |

To last poster: That's not it all man. I'm not making a regular 3rd person map. I'm making a FIRST-PERSON SHOOTER. FPS. And I'm not dumb, either. You're stating the obvious and not answering my question AT ALL. Thanks for nothing. |

Well you kinda gotta do what DK said but u need to offset the camera. use a polar offset with the angle set to the facing of unit x and the offset distance the distance to target of camera x. that way, u just make a camera with a target beyond the unit and place it so that its source is inside or just in front of the unit. i hoped that helped. :D |

Ahaha. I bet he'd shut his mouth if he did |

Why does it matter who he is talking to? he should be respectful to anyone regardless if they are DK or not. |

True, but people in higher authority can usually do a little more harsher punishment than us little people. (not talking about anyone, just generalizing) |

Well you know, I just noticed I gave you the wrong source code. I know how to do that FPS cam but since you've been such an *** I don't feel like helpin anymore. Now your "Thanks for nothing" makes more sense doesn't it? Have a nice day. |

Ouch :bgrun: You've been told... |

That is not the point. You just got mad for no apparent reason and that is why I didnt appreciate(anyone would've reacted the same way to your reply). Nor do I like that kind of opinion you have about me, but I'll just do as if I didnt see anything for now. Just move on, I have learned to forgive. |

I'll give you one big advice, Nagna Zul, and that is to be nice and respect every answer you get to your question, if it's helpful or not! You won't get many respect here if you go all over someone if they can't/don't give you the answer you want ... Anway, enough wise lessons, now bout ur problem: I've tried many times to get a nice and good-looking FPS cam, but I fear it is not possible to do in WE! I got as far as DK's method, but that's not what I wanted. If you check out the FPS Mod on this site, you'll see that the only working method to make a 'real' FPS cam is with an external program! You meant the FPS Mod's program, right? If not, and you've found a way to do this with WE triggers, please tell me about it cause I haven't found a way to do it lol :) btw, shouldn't this be in an other forum, as this is clearly no cinematic...? ~ Nuladion |

I've tried to do one before, but it wasn't very smooth. I edited the Far Z or something and locked onto a Rifleman. Not sure if it works good enough for the answer. "It's impossible to do. Way to lie, moron." Nothing's impossible, but some answers are harder to get than others. |
