This really sucks. This really really sucks. This really really really really really sucks.

I'll tell you why I think this sucks so much now.

I have been making a map, you see. Info on it is in my sig. However, I can no longer open it.

At first, I thought the answer was simple, because I had it saved to a floppy disk, it must have run out of disk space. So I moved it to the Maps folder in the Warcraft III directory.

When I opened World Editor again, I couldn't open it from the Maps folder. Maybe you people can help me? The error message looks like this:

worldedit

This application has encountered a critical error:

Not enough storage is available to process this command.

Program: c:\program files\warcraft iii\worldedit.exe
File: E:\Drive1\temp\buildwar3x\STORM\Source\SFile.cpp
Line: 1411

Press OK to terminate the application.

Am I screwed? Or can this be fixed? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Sorry for posting this in this forum. I thought this would be the best place to put it since there aren't any help forums that I know of.

if you still can't open it after freeing up space (for virtual memory) you can try extracting the triggers and stuff from the mpq and importing them into a new map one by one...

I'm thinking about trying the good old uninstall-reinstall trick. But would that delete my map? Or am I just being a dumbass again?

EDIT: I tried clearing out about 20 MB from the Maps folder and that didn't even change the error message.

Fyredaug - What do you mean by restarting? If you mean restarting World Editor, than yes. If you mean uninstalling and reinstalling The Frozen Throne, then yes, but not after this error occured.

hodi - For whatever reason, UMSWE screws the TFT editor. Unless a recent UMSWE doesn't screw up the TFT editor, you have to delete UMSWE from your computer.

Kypt Keeper - Oh... ://// I feel stupid. No, I haven't tried restarting the computer. I don't do that much because my parents need my computer to be connected to the internet in order for them to connect to the internet from their computer so my computer is almost always on. So it didn't occur to me... I'll try that. Thanks and to FyreDaug.

hodi - The problem is beyond me.

EDIT: I just tryed rebooting. No luck. Should I try reinstalling TFT?

Are you using any 3rd party editors? Do you have any files in Units/UI etc? If you are, delete them all, then try running World Editor.exe

yea be a good idea to check for the units and UI folders, ive had ones randomly appear once, i probably put them there my slef although i dont remeber doing it, neh computers are mysteriois things. the other option is somethigns corrupted which is never a good thing.

Nothing has worked so far. Therefore, I suppose I'll try the WinMPQ idea. HOPEFULLY, that will work. But so far, my hope seems to have been in all the wrong places...:( But I'll give it a shot. And I have tried EVERYTHING that's been suggested so far.

EDIT: This really sucks right here. Apparently, WinMPQ can't open .w3x's. And I DID try switching the thingy from MPQ archives to All Files, but whenever I open up the map, it says that WinMPQ has to close. And THAT error message looks like this:

ShadowFlare MPQ Archiver has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

The rest of the error message is just saying that I should tell Microsoft about the error message, which those of you who have a more recent computer with Microsoft XP may be familiar with. And it says I can say Don't Send or Send Error Message Report or whatever. So, I'm screwed! Yay...:( :( :(

I WAS RIGHT THE ENTIRE TIME!!! ALL THAT I NEED TO DO WAS UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL TFT!!! BOO YA BIZNATCHES!!!!!11~

....

I'm so happy right now.:ggani: :D :foot:

EDIT: Nevermind. Happy not as good now. I made a map for arrow key movement that worked nicely, but now this damn process deleted the map. Oh well. At least I remember how I did it. But for the 11 players, it requires 55 triggers...:bgrun:
