Hello everyone! I've decided to do a mod for War 3 that toatally recreates the Diablo II experience in full 3D (please don't move this thread yet, mods, you'll see what I'm getting to soon) with extra content such as: - A new act which takes place between Act 2 and Act 3 (naturally this bumps all the act numbers past 2 up one). Im not revealing what it is yet, but I'm sure everyone will love it. -New areas and quests for each existing act (I'm shooting for 2 more per act, making it 8 per act). Plus Act 4 will be heavily expanded upon because it was waaay to short. -Lots of custom doodads and units (I plan on having everything except units be doodads so you don't click on a building and it pops up on the interface as "Building" and shows you its health and stuff, in my opinion this is very unpolished looking). The player models will be totally new with weapons and armor that goes on your character as you pick it up (easily done by attatching a custom weapons model to the hands of a character and then having a custom attack animation in the new model to revert to whenever the player uses that weapon). Most monsters will be custom models except the ones that don't look all gay and cartoony. -Two brand new player classes Monk: 10000x better than the one in Hellfire for D1. Specializes in using staffs as weapons and also has some self healing powers plus battle skills. Heretic: My own creation is a sorceror that uses fire agianst fire. He has the ability to summon demon minions, use Hell Magic (very different from the Sorceresses's fire skills), and use Shadow Magic. Ok now here is my request (this is going to be posted in the modelling forum too). I suck real bad at skinning and modelling so i need skinners who can do these jobs. - Change the interface to look like the Diablo II interface plus if possible (its probably not), remove the top bar completely except for the menu, quest, etc. buttons. - Create all the icons from the abilities in game plus new ones for the new characters (I found them at www.planetdiablo.com but my psp program won't sucessfully convert them to .tga fromat which leads to no .blp for me. - Create new more realistic looking terrain for the cityscape tileset (I'm using this because it makes it easier to do the rogues sanctuary with it). Please make the actual city tiles look like the rogue's sanctuary. That's all I can think of now! If you want to help just work on it for me and please post your progress in the thread. All help will be appreciated greatly and of course anyone who contributes will be in the credits. Ya know what Slowpoke, you're getting very,very annoying now. I already apologized alot for the old mod, but can you now plz just STFU! I'm getting sick of you ruining any chance I get of starting something just because your holding a very long damn grudge. Now can you plz back off unless you want to help. well there is a bunch of stuff you have to get, but (sadly ;) ) I'm gonna have to reccomend that you got to the site in Slowpoke's sig and go to the tutorials section to learn wat you need. |
